Whitney Trulove-Cranor owns KidProCo, LLC and invented the Squeeze-Free™ Juice Box Holder.
When my daughter turned a year old and could drink out of a straw, I was looking forward to giving her a juice box drink. As I was holding onto the carton and inserting the straw, juice squirted out the straw. I gave it to my daughter and she squirted juice in her eye. I vowed to never buy them again. As we started spending time around toddler-age kids and going to birthday parties I would always see parents hand a juice box drink to their child and say “Now don’t squeeze!” and we would launch into a conversation about how messy juice box and pouch drinks are. Nonetheless, due to the convenience of these drinks, parents are willing to take the risk. Some take preventative measures – showing their child exactly how to hold the carton or pouch, drinking half the juice themselves or even pouring the juice into a sippy cup and disposing of the carton altogether. I decided to come up with a solution to this problem and in 2004, the Squeeze-Free™ Juice Box Holder was born.
The feedback I have gotten from parents has been so rewarding. Heidi H. from Denver, Colorado wrote to me:
“My daughter LOVES her juice box holder. She insists on using one every time she has a juice box. It is SO much better than any of the other ones I have seen.”
Being a parent, I know that little conveniences can make a big difference in our busy lives. I’m happy that my product allows parents to hand their child a juice box drink with confidence and without the mess.
